In most cases, marriage proposals are short and sweet; himself does the bended knee, there’s a ring, some tears and plenty of hugs, then you head off to drink your weight in Prosecco.
For Ray Smith however, the process took a little longer than usual.
Starting in July 2015, Ray, who lives in Grimsby in the UK, began popping the question almost daily… unbeknownst to his pregnant girlfriend Claire Bramley.
The crafty romantic, who originally planned to propose in a hot air balloon but cancelled the idea when he discovered Claire was expecting, managed to sneak his handwritten “Will you marry me” message into every photograph of the couple for five months… that’s 148 snaps in total.
Here he is in August…
And in September…
October (oh, and Halloween)…
November…
December…
And directly after the couple had a tiff…
Even their unborn baby was in on the act…
Eventually Ray popped the question properly on Christmas morning using a montage of his collected photographs in an adorable video.
The best news? She said yes.
Phew.
