If you’re the first in your family to feel the cold as winter draws in, the argument over switching on the heating will be a familiar one.
Warm blooded folk can hold out until late November just by wearing an extra sweater, but if you’re a cold soul, it’s likely you’ve been tempted to hit the switch since the end of August.
One mum has already taken steps to control her heating bills this winter, penning a passive aggressive note to her children in the event that they consider taking the household temperature into their own hands.
Michigan mum Autumn Brandon’s hilarious warning has gone viral, with more than 27,000 people adding their own heating gripes to the conversation.
“Unless you answer ‘yes’ to all of these, do not turn on the heat,” the note reads.
“Are you wearing a hoodie, pants, socks?
“Is it November? Do you pay the gas bill?”
