It’s unusually warm, isn’t it?
The weather has been incredibly mild over the last few days and that looks set to continue over the coming days.
According to Met Eireann, today’s weather will remain damp and misty in many parts of the country, particularly in Munster and Leinster, but will still be very mild with highs of 11 to 13 degrees.
We’re in a very mild airmass at the moment.
A selection of our minimum temps from last night:
Gurteen (Tipp) 10.8°C
Dublin Airport 10.2°C
Shannon Airport 10.2°C

Those in Ulster can look forward to the most of the sunny spells today.
From tomorrow night, the weather is set to turn to rain and drizzle with some local patches of fog.
However, it will remain mild with lowest temperatures set to hit seven to 10 degrees, which are four to five degrees above normal for this time of year.
Damp & misty weather continuing over Munster & much of Leinster today, with some rain at times & some patches of fog also & highs of 10 to 13 C. Mist & drizzle soon clearing elsewhere & turning fresh, with a few bright spells – these best over Ulster. Highs here of 8 or 9 C.

For Friday, those temperatures are expected to be between 10 and 12 degrees, with moderate winds.
Heading into the weekend, as many of us head out for some last-minute shopping on Saturday, the weather is due to be breezy and mostly cloudy with a few bright spells.
However, patches of mist and drizzle are also to be expected so might be a good idea to bring a brolly.
We had a max temperature today of 14.5°C at Shannon Airport.
That’s 5.5°C above average for this time of year.
Temps are likely to remain above average until Sunday – Christmas Eve. pic.twitter.com/SCCM0nzcqt— Met Éireann (@MetEireann) December 19, 2017
Christmas Eve will be generally cloudy and locally misty with a few bright spells.
