Today is the worst day of the festive season according to survey (not sure we needed telling)

In what has to be one of the most pessimistic polls ever undertaken, Kwik Fit set out to find the worst day of Christmas.

After surveying 2,000 British folk, the study has found that today, December 28, is officially the worst day of the festive period. And for those looking for an exact read of when the post-Chrimbo gloom is scheduled to hit, 2.59pm is apparently the peak time for a festive fouler – perhaps a good idea to keep a wine handy come 3 pm.

Of those polled, 42 per cent cited the journey home after visiting relatives as the moment gloom set in. (Check)

Other top causes of ‘Moody Monday’ include:

Familial criticism. (Check) Inappropriate behaviour. (Check) And not helping around the house. (Check)

12 percent said the post-Christmas clutter would be getting in on them, 38 per cent are fretting about over-indulging and 12 per cent fear they have not rested enough over the Christmas break. Check, check and CHECK.

I’m getting down just typing this.
