This is a real life riddle and it’s very confusing when you first hear it.
Cape Cod Maternity Hospital shared the good news that twins Samuel and Ronan were born recently to parents Emily and Seth. Along with a photo of the family they added this riddle which has left people scratching their heads.
“Samuel was born first, but his twin brother Ronan is older. How is that possible?”
Confusing or what?
The funny thing is, when you hear the reason for it you’ll be kicking yourself.
Samuel was born first at 1:39am on Sunday, November 6th and by the time Ronan was born, 31 minutes later, the clocks had gone back by an hour due to Daylight Savings Time, making Ronan’s official time of birth 1:10am.
Deb Totten, a nurse in the hospital, said that it’s the first time she has ever seen this happen in her 40 years of nursing.
Dad Seth said, “I said earlier that night that they were either going to be born on two different days or the time change was going to come into play.”
