The Most-Wanted Hatchimal Toys Are (apparently) Swearing Profanities At Their Owners

As the craziness of Christmas settles, families all over the globe are currently enduring the annoying sounds of talking teddies, robots, karaoke machines, and talking tablets…. not just our house, surely?!

But many families who were lucky enough to snap up the hugely sought-after interactive Hatchimal creature for their offsprings or receive one from Santa this year, have been left slightly bemused (some kinda angry) at these little furry hatching creatures. Why? Well, it appears the little furry duck is saying “f*ck me” and “f*ck you” instead of presumably something like “hug me”….

The Canadian-based toy company responsible for the Hatchimal sensation must be revelling in their success at creating the world’s most desirable toy for 2016. The lure of the Hatchimal is that your child gets to see the baby duck hatch, and grow, and can care for it like their own baby pet. The furry friend can sing, dance and repeat things its owner says although they speak their own made-up language. Gradually, it goes through three stages of “development”, from baby to toddlerdom and finally to “child Hatchimal.”

Among many complaints from parents who said their little guy didn’t actually hatch on Christmas Day (imagine the disappointment!), was the complaint that the furry fellow is voicing what sounds like are profanities – not exactly the type of thing you want your five-year-old repeating!

The toy maker has issued an official response on their Facebook page, but haven’t specifically nodded to the swearing complaints!

Parents have been posting videos on YouTube to see what others think:

Nasty Cussing Hatchimal..

Our Hatchimal is swearing…

What do you think? Did your child receive one, were you disappointed? Let us know in the comments.
