There’s no denying it’s a dreary start to the week, but rest assured you’ll be digging out the sun screen again by tomorrow.
According to Met Eireann, today will start out rather cloudy with light passing showers, but will brighten up through the morning with good sunny spells developing for the afternoon and temperatures of between 15 and 19 degrees.
A forecaster said:
“Tonight will be mainly dry with clear spells and just a few isolated showers, mainly in the west of the country. Lowest temperatures eight to 10 degrees in mainly light westerly breezes.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, will be another day of sunshine and scattered showers but it will be a little fresher, with temperatures of between 14 and 18 degrees, while Wednesday will see most of the country dry with some sunny conditions developing but once again there’ll be showers too, mostly well scattered and fairly light and dying out in the evening.
If hay fever is getting you down right now, it’s probably best to pack some extra tissues: the pollen count is moderate today, but due to be high in Leinster and Ulster tomorrow.
Pollen Count for Monday:
Moderate in Connacht & Leinster; Low in Munster & Ulster.
Tuesday:
High in Leinster & Ulster; Moderate elsewhere— Met Éireann (@MetEireann) July 11, 2016
The good news is that after a cool day on Thursday, Friday will dawn humid and warm, with temperatures expected to rise to the twenties, remaining mainly dry weather for the weekend and beyond.
