Woman Gives Birth To Two Sets Of Twins

When Tressa and Manuel Montalvo set out to give their two-year-old son a baby brother or sister, they were not expecting to make headlines for creating a medical miracle.

Incredibly however, the couple beat odds of one in 70 million to conceive two sets of twins at the same time. How? Unusually, Tressa has two placentas.

The Texas couple, who did not use IVF or undergo any fertility treatment, discovered that they were expecting two sets of boys, one in each placenta.

“We couldn’t have been more surprised when Dr. Kirshon told us we were having four babies and that they were two sets of twins,” Manuel (43) told ABC News. “We were trying for one little brother or sister for our 2-and-a-half-year-old son, Memphis.”

Tressa (36) delivered Ace and Blaine, Cash and Dylan on Valentine’s Day.

She told The Huffington Post: “We tried to stick to the A-B-C-D theme when naming them. We didn’t expect it, we were trying for just one and we were blessed with four.”

A special delivery indeed. Watch the full TV report here:
