You May Wrap Up Warm Today… It’s Going To Be a Cold One

It’s going to be another cold one today!

Yesterday evening, Met Éireann issued a status yellow snow-ice warning for Clare, Connacht, Cork, Donegal and Limerick.

The forecaster predicted scattered snow showers overnight with accumulations up to 3cm in some areas but it is in place until 11am today which means you can expect widespread frost this morning.

As for the rest of the day, any frost and fog will clear leaving a cold day with some sunny spells and scattered (at times heavy) showers.

Highest temperatures will be around 5 to 8 degrees Celsius. These will then drop tonight to around 0 to 3 degrees Celsius, which may bring the odd wintry shower as well as a risk of ice.

Friday is expected to be dull and wet although it could become brighter as the day progresses. Thankfully it won’t be as cold with temperatures ranging between 7 and 10 degrees Celsius.
