It’s started already.

There was a chill in the air this morning and according to the weather experts, it’s going to get worse overnight.

Yes, it looks like the cold spell has arrived to coincide with November and there’s going to be a drop in temperatures later this evening.

The latest update from Met Éireann says that there will be grass frost in some places and there’s also ‘a risk of hail’ in Atlantic coastal counties.

Tomorrow will see a cold but bright day but showers will be widespread across the country and it may even turn thundery in some parts.

Saturday night is set to get even colder and you can expect ‘1 and 5 degrees Celsius with frosts forming away from coasts’.

There will be showers overnight but these should lessen by Sunday according to the national forecaster.

It’s not all doom and gloom either for Sunday is set “to be the driest day of the weekend with spells of sunshine occurring in most parts”.

Overall, the forecast is “changeable, with a noticeable chill in the air”. Time to bring out the electric blanket so…
