7 Little Things That Make Life Instantly Better

Life can be hectic at times, so much so that’s it easy to overlook the little things.

But it’s important to focus on these just as much as the big things and more often than not, it’s the simple pleasures that make your day.

Here are 7 little things that make daily life instantly better…

A nutritious breakfast

They say it’s the most important meal of the day and nothing beats a bowl of porridge with a little glass of orange juice. Vitamin C assists the absorption of iron which is key for pregnant women plus it reduces tiredness. We’re plumping for a small glass of Tropicana to boost our immune system.

A bath at the end of a hard day

Baths are a rare thing when you’re a parent… at least, a bath that you are in! But it’s important to have some ‘me’ time with no distractions, so leave the kids with the other half and get out the suds.

A smile on your child’s face

They can be exhausting but nothing beats the sight of your child smiling or the sound of them laughing. In fact, these are what make the years of worrying worthwhile.

A compliment from your other half

We don’t even care if it’s just to make us feel better and it’s not true, a compliment has the ability to brighten our day in the space of 5 seconds.

An extra 10 minutes in bed

This is a real luxury (because let’s face it, a lie-in with kids is like the eclipse – rare!) so it makes a world of a difference when it happens.

A hug (or a kiss)

It’s not much but a hug from your mum or a kiss from your little boy will always fill you with that warm fuzzy feeling.

A parenting win

Be it getting the kids to eat their dinner or having them stand still long enough to wash their face, little parenting wins actually feel like big milestones and should be celebrated as such!

Another little thing that we are loving at the moment is Tropicana’s ‘Little Glass’ campaign. It turns out that a 150ml glass of Tropicana juice can provide you with one of your five-a-day and 60 per cent of your recommended daily dose of vitamin C.
