The DockATot baby lounger is the latest multi-functioning product from Sweden we’re all getting our Scandi-influenced knickers in a twist over. Because Scandinavians do it best, every time (design, that is).
Instagrammers and Pinterest peeps are going wild for this little baby sleeper (available for newborn and up to 36 months sizes), and it’s not just because the designs are achingly hip either.
Similar to the Sleepyhead pillow you might be aware of, except this is one of those products you would like to curl up in, it looks so cosy and super-chic to boot. But, what’s cool about this particular little lounger is that it’s designed to mimic the womb so your baby can feel like it’s in familiar surroundings, “we like to think it’s the next best thing to being in the womb,” say the designers.
It also claims it can reduce the risk of flat head syndrome, thanks to the special mattress with a soft, thermobonded fiber wadding plate; it also facilitates tummy-time by propping the baby’s arms on the rounded bumper, and it helps ease the transition from crib to toddler or big kid bed. The built-in, air-permeable bumpers act as bed rails and give little ones a snug sense of security in their newer, bigger beds too. Mums on social media platforms also agree it’s great for co-sleeping as they feel their baby is safe in one. Mums with reflux babies are finding it helps as their baby won’t sleep flat, and with an incline pillow underneath this lounger, they can move it around the house with them so they are nearby if the baby wakes (reflex babies tend to wake more often!).
