Country singer Joey Feek is determined to spend her last days with her daughter Indiana.
The 40-year-old, who along with her husband Rory Feek forms the duo Joey + Feek, halted all treatments for Stage IV cervical cancer last month and has now entered a hospice.
But despite the tragic situation, Joey’s spirits are high and she wants to dedicate what time she has left to her baby girl.
On his ‘This Life I Live’ blog, her husband Rory told fans: “We prayed. We all prayed. God answered.
“At 4 am on Friday morning we rushed Joey to the hospital… Her pain had become too much to bare. A few hours later the doctors told us that the pain was from the cancer tumors continuing to grow and become inflamed and we need to concentrate now on helping her be comfortable.
“Not the answer we hoped for… but the answer He has given us.”
He continued: “The last couple of mornings, I’ve brought Indiana up here to spend time with her mama. Both of their eyes light up the moment they see each other. It’s been beautiful.”

He finished on a bittersweet note, writing: “Hospice is arranged and a hospital bed will be delivered later this morning. We’ll have a play area on the carpet nearby – close enough for her to watch Indy play, and for Indy to turn and make sure her mama can see her.
“Joey is at peace with where she is and where she’s going. So am I. An answer to prayer.”
He also revealed that they recorded a number of books on tape so that Indiana can listen to her mother telling her stories when she gets a little older.
Joey, who married Rory back in 2002, was diagnosed with Stage IV cervical cancer last year. We cannot image what she and her family are going through right now.
