These scenes didn’t go down too well now.
Emmerdale viewers were left horrified tonight following scenes which saw Maya appear to be delighted that Jacob had walked in on her and David having sex.
The teacher, who has been grooming Jacob for the past few weeks, has been trying to get her boyfriend and his son to spend more time together, safe in the knowledge that this will mean she gets to spend more time with the 15-year-old too.
Tonight’s instalment of the show saw Jacob accidentally walk in on his dad and Maya having sex behind a sofa.
The pair immediately stopped once the teen entered the room, as David covered himself with a pillow and said: “Busted. Sorry mate, I didn’t think that you would be back for ages.”

While Jacob appeared disgusted and hurt by the scenario, Maya bit her lip, seemingly finding the situation humorous, or even ideal.
Viewers weren’t all that impressed though, stating that Maya’s behaviour was actively making them uncomfortable.
Many also wondered when the controversial storyline would end.

Emmerdale‘s grooming storyline kicked off a few weeks ago featuring a scene where Maya goes to comfort Jacob, only to end up kissing him instead.
The above scenario was also criticised by viewers who found it difficult to watch.
Emmerdale producers have continued to defend the storyline, stating that they had approached Barnardos to ensure that they were tackling the storyline as sensitively as possible.
