Ouch.
Prince Charles seems like an alright dad.
He looked after his kids. He spent time with them. He made them dinner a few times and brought them out to the park once or twice, probably.
That being said, that doesn’t mean that Charles’s son, Will and Harry, aren’t allowed to be a little critical of their father – after all, he’s their dad and they probably know him best.
Speaking on a BBC documentary honouring Charles for his 70th birthday, Prince, Son & Heir: Charles at 70, Will said that he wished his dad would spend more time with his family, particularly his grandchildren, George, Charlotte, and Louis.
He said:
“I would like him to have more time with the children.
“Having more time with him at home would be lovely, and being able to, you know, play around with the grandchildren. When he’s there, he’s brilliant, but we need him there as much as possible.”
Prince Harry also chipped in and said that he hopes his dad will be able to spend more time with his baby boy or girl whenever they come along in the spring.
He said:
“He does need to slow down. This is a man who has dinner ridiculously late at night, and then goes to his desk later that night and will fall asleep on his notes to the point where he’ll wake up with a piece of paper stuck to his face.
“The man never stops. When we were kids, there were bags and bags and bags of work that the office just sent to him. We could barely even get to his desk to say goodnight to him.”
