Most men his age are happily enjoying their freedom at the golf club or in the potting shed, but Rolling Stone guitarist (and irrepressible lothario) Ronnie Wood is to become a father again at the age of 68.
Wood and his third wife Sally Humphreys (37) have announced the happy news to friends and family, including Ronnie’s grown-up children Jesse (39), Leah (36), Tyrone (30) and Jamie (41) and nine grandchildren.
The delighted couple, who wed at a star-studded ceremony at The Dorchester (Rod Stewart was on Best Man duty, natch) after a six-month romance in 2012, will welcome twins in June 2016.
Speaking about her desire to have children with Ronnie to The Telegraph last year, Sally said:
‘He’s up for it. He’s got a lot of friends that are older who have younger children and they all say it’s fantastic and it keeps you young. I do think that would be wonderful, but I don’t know if it will happen. I hope so.’
