Your baby
Is now weighing in at around 1.7 kg and is 42 cm long.
All the organs, except for the lungs, are fully developed, increasing the chances of survival if born early.
The skin is less translucent and is also pinker. Under the skin the fat layer is getting thicker. Fingernails are completely formed.
In boys, the testicles are likely to have descended from the groin into the scrotum.
You
Hormones are making you forgetful and your brain feel foggy. Apparently, the brain of a pregnant woman actually shrinks in the third trimester — but does return to normal after birth!
Have you started to waddle? This is because the ligaments in your pelvis have softened, allowing your hips to spread in preparation for birth.
