Huge congratulations are in order!
Rachel McAdams has reportedly given birth to her first child – a baby boy.
The Oscar-nominated actress and her boyfriend Jamie Linden were first said to be expecting their first child together earlier this year.
The couple were first linked in April 2016, have kept a low profile throughout both their relationship and Rachel’s pregnancy.
But according to reports, the low-key pair are said to have welcomed a son.
The proud parents were spotted out for lunch recently, with Hollywood Pipeline obtaining a photo of Linden holding an infant.
No other details – like the newborn’s name or when he was born – were available.
The Notebook actress has kept a low-profile throughout her pregnancy, with E! News first reporting the news in February this year.
Rachel had previously opened up about how she was looking forward to becoming a mum – and how her own mum was an inspiration to her.
She told People in 2009:
“Having a few [kids] would be great.
“My mom is a great inspiration to me…She’s a nurse and very nurturing and gentle.
“She lets me be who I am. Hopefully I can take on those qualities and be as great as her.”
The 39-year-old has been seeing screenwriter and producer Jamie Linden, 38, since the summer of 2016.
She famously dated her Notebook co-star Ryan Gosling in the mid-2000s and she was also in a relationship with Michael Sheen for more than two years.
Rachel and Jamie were first photographed while attending a friend’s wedding in Virginia in late 2016.
They have never walked a red carpet together.
