Unborn babies create beautiful art for charity (crazy, but true!)

In an absolute mind-blowing project, these pregnant women had paintbrushes attached to their bumps, so their unborn babies could help create some very unique artwork.

The project, set up to raise awareness of how many unborn babies in Africa won’t survive birth because their mothers don’t have access to proper medical care, was captures on this beautiful video for Unborn Artists charity campaign.

The six mothers from Belgium, who were all between 32 and 39 weeks pregnant, sat opposite a canvas and waited for their babies to kick. As the video shows, paintbrushes were initially dipped into brightly-coloured paint and then attached to the mothers’ bellies using fabric and tape.

By patting and stroking their very pregnant bellies, the mamas gently encouraged their little artists to kick – and create art.

The images have been sold at auctions and baby showers to raise money for the project.
