Most people have a bowl of cereal or some porridge in the morning but it seems that you might be better going for something a little more adventurous.
An American author and futurist by the name of Ray Kurzweil recently told Playboy that he believes that one day, perhaps in 2029, people will be able to live forever with the help of advanced technology.
As part of this concept of and quest for eternal life, he eats a rather extravagant breakfast.
According to The Financial Times, he eats the following every morning: berries, dark chocolate infused with espresso, smoked salmon and mackerel, vanilla soy milk, stevia (a sweetener), porridge and green tea.
It apparently amounts to approximately 700 calories (considering that we feel full just reading the ingredients, we’re not surprised).
Kurweil also consumes thousands of dollars worth of supplements and diet pills, which is probably the real reason he looks so good for his age.
What we do know for certain is that starting the day with a good breakfast is vital. If Kurweil’s doesn’t tickle your fancy, check out these suggestions from nutritional therapist Elsa Jones.
