Celebrating the everyday wins of parenthood may seem petty but those of you out there in the parenting trenches know that the sensation of LOSING is a much more common state for downtrodden parents, a bit like the Irish soccer team…
Mindfulness is the current cure du jour for the modern malaise and in a way this list encourages a mindful approach to parenting. Basically any time things are going right or, at the very least, not going disastrously wrong take a minute to acknowledge that you are winning… YESSSSS.

1. Anytime this isn’t happening…
2. That moment when you wake up feeling refreshed (this is rare… like unicorn rare).
3. When you manage to eat a whole bar of chocolate to yourself (parenting makes secret eaters of us all).
4. Anytime that you are not TOUCHING POO (It doesn’t even make us flinch anymore).
5. That day that went really smoothly and nothing disastrous happened (BOOM, aced it).
6. When you are changing a nappy while simultaneously rapping Alphabet Aerobics from Blackalicious and holding for a customer services representative (Multi-tasking like a BOSS).
7. That moment when they eat a vegetable (RESULT).
8. Anytime that no one is crying.
9. Anytime that you are drinking a glass of wine.
10. When you get a cuddle without even asking for it (this is what gets us through).
