A firefighter is reportedly facing disciplinary action after his wife was photographed breastfeeding their child in his work uniform.
According to KFOX14, Las Cruces Fire Department launched an investigation into the matter last week and the officer could potentially face unpaid leave.
The image was part of a series by photographer Tara Ruby, based in El Paso in Texas, which aims to show that women can be full-time mums and also have full-time jobs.
KFOX14 quotes Tara as saying: “I was mad for the mom and the husband she has that’s supporting her in this.
“It was never intended to be anything negative. It’s only you know supposed to be positive.”
While many (including us) found the picture to be incredibly empowering, the outcome of the investigation is not yet known.
