In short: we don’t think so. However, the US media is abuzz with speculation that movie star and film producer Jennifer Garner might be pregnant.
As she left a Santa Monica restaurant yesterday, The Mother’s Day star, 44, was asked by a cameraman if she was expecting her fourth child with estranged husband Ben Affleck, who she split from last year amid rumours of a cheating scandal.
The reason for the rather rude on-the-spot question? A photo taken of the star on Sunday shows her sporting (you guessed it) an ever-so-slightly more rounded tummy than usual, immediately sparking baby bump rumours online.
So far, so par for the course in celebrity land, where you can’t enjoy a slice of pizza at lunch without immediately being pronounced pregnant.
However, the confusion resulted from Garner’s mysterious answer. Instead of shutting down the rumours with a ‘no’ or ignoring the question altogether, Jen simply replied:
‘How ’bout that?’
We suspect Garner, who is already mum to Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Samuel, 4, is just having a little fun with the paparazzi and playing the gossip mags at their own game.
