There are plenty of reasons as to why one might be a “badass mom.”
They go above and beyond to make their child happy whatever way they can.
They pay no mind to others who may question their parenting skills.
They literally pushed a child out of their body after carrying that child for nine months – that should be enough, really.
And it is, but American Idol star Kelly Clarkson has got some other reasons why she thinks she herself is a badass mom.
Speaking at the Billboard Women in Music event last night, the Since U Been Gone singer said that she found it “empowering” for other women to lift each other up instead of tearing each other down.
She also spoke about her recent collaboration with Pink and why that meant so much to her.
She said:
“It was more or less a positive situation of women coming together and not getting pitted against each other.
“I’m so tired. I’m so tired as a mother by watching (women being pitted against each other). Just accept the fact that there is room for everyone.”
Clarkson finished her speech by saying that performing with Pink at the AMAs was the most powerful moment of 2017 for her, “other than being a mom.”
“I’m a badass mom. Or least I aim to be,” she said.
