A chilling discovery
Disturbing information has been discovered in the case of an Illinois mother who was arrested in connection with the death of her 5-month-old daughter, Emery Lyons.
Police say that before 23-year-old Joslynn Graham’s daughter’s death, her mother had conducted online research for ways to “get rid of your child”.
Police were called to the scene on October 7th, where it’s reported “lengthy efforts” were made to resuscitate the child were performed but sadly, Emory was pronounced dead that night.
An autopsy later revealed the infant died of blunt force trauma, but it is as yet unclear exactly what took place.
Two days later on October 9th, Graham was arrested in relation to her daughter’s death and has since been charged with first-degree murder.
At a bond hearing held October 12th, prosecutors revealed that the suspect used her phone several times to search “ways to get rid of your child.”
A witness also told police that they’d seen that Graham “express frustration with the child.”
Graham’s lawyers told the court that she had “every intention of entering a plea of not guilty.”
She is currently being held in custody with a bond at $1 million and faces 20 to 60 years if convicted.
