Parenting in the age of Pinterest and Instagram can often feel like a bit of a competition in who can best out-do the Joneses – and then some.
Social media feeds are filled with children in outfits so curated they would put Vogue Enfants to shame, and gone are the days when children’s parties meant a chocolate cake from Tesco and some balloons. These days, you’d almost be worried about being reported to social services unless you have created at least two Pinterest boards in the party planning process.
Which is why we love (LOVE) when parents are keeping it real on social media – showing off the (much) less glamorous side of parenting. Which we all know exists, we have just become so good at cropping it out in pictures.
