And probably most women’s baby bumps in general.
Meghan Markle is pregnant.
If you say you weren’t aware of this fact you are absolutely lying.
Details of Meghan’s pregnancy are everywhere – on the news, on social media, on the streets as you walk to work and somebody shouts across telling you that the Duchess of Sussex is looking stunning cradling her bump today in a glorious co-ord.
It happens.
The latest aspect of Meghan’s heavily reported on pregnancy concerns the size of her bump – not that it’s too big or too small, but that it looks considerably bigger during the night time.
And in fairness, it actually does.
Here’s Meghan during the day.

And here’s Meghan at night.

And again.

Yeah, see? Considerably bigger.
Is there a chance that the second photos were simply taken a weird angle that’s going to make Meghan’s belly look bigger? Possibly.
And is it likely that Meghan just had a large dinner and therefore her stomach is protruding more? Yeah definitely.
But apparently, there’s actually a legit reason why pregnant bellies – not just Meghan’s – look bigger towards the end of the day.
Birth companion Susannah Birch said it could all be due to the muscles in the abdomen.Â

She told Trimester Talk:Â
“At night time, your abdominal muscles are tired from holding your bump. (They) loosen as they grow more tired, which allows your bump to sit out further and appear larger.”
The more you know.Â
It’s also entirely possible that plain old bloating is the reason behind the bigger night time bump.
Meghan and Prince Harry are expecting their first child in the Spring of next year.
They announced that they were expecting a few weeks ago.
