Accio costume!
Dublin Wizard Con was originally scheduled for May 30-31 but of course like all other big events in the country it has been postponed due to lockdown.
Nevertheless the organisers of the popular con have come up with a way that means we don’t have to miss out on all of the magical fun this month and we’re so excited.
Yes that’s right, Dublin Wizard Con are hosting an online cosplay competition and you and your children can enter from the comfort of your own home.
Whether you’re a Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin or Gryffindor, or hey maybe you don’t attend Hogwarts at all, hey Beuxbatons, the cosplay competition is open to everyone.
Prizes include a hotel stay in the luxury Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge (hello post lockdown mini break), vouchers for The Costume Shop and tickets to Dublin Wizard Con, now to be held in October.

To enter all you have to do is submit a short video clip or photos (full costume and close up details) of your cosplay along with:
-Your Name
-Age
-Character name
-Any special information about your cosplay (optional) to DublinWizardCon@gmail.com
Submission deadline is midnight on Sunday May 24th and all entries will be posted to Facebook the following day (May 25) for the public to vote on.
The winners will then be announced at the Wizards Online- Virtual Fan Festival live on our Facebook page on Sun May 30.
There will be separate categories for adults and children so everyone in the family can enter.
So what are you waiting for? Grab your broom, wand and robes and recreate all the magic of Harry Potter at home and who knows you might be walking away with some out of this world prizes.
