5-minute facial exercise routine to tone up

A quick fix for keeping your face supple.

These are not the sexiest faces to be pulling, we will be the first to admit. Yet, a challenge to make us look even more beautiful than we already are is not to be missed. Here are 5 quick facial exercises to keep you looking younger for longer.

Exercise 1

Let’s start simple shall we? This technique keeps the pout pretty taught and supple. We can all blow kisses and it takes minimum effort. Number one makes us happy and look good. Pose in a mirror if you are single. If you happen to have an other half hanging around then direct the loving at them. Simply repeat 5 times pressing two fingers to your lips. Great.

Exercise 2

And then onto the more kooky ones. Smoothing the wrinkled brow after that morning from hell. Widen your eyes without frowning and imagine someone just said something they were told NOT to mention. Mom I’m looking at you. Hold for 5 seconds.

Exercise 3

Facial exercises strengthen the muscles of the face and stimulate collagen and elastin production. Think of this when re-enacting number 3. This firms and tones your chubby cheeks my friend. Fish face I welcome you. And again 5 times works wonders.

Exercise 4

We are allowed to do these daft moves in private trust me. Get in front of the bathroom mirror and knock yourself out. This takes a little more precision. Smile… (it is Friday after all) and press your first three fingers on each hand into the creases between your cheek and upper lip. Then simply smile and lift up with a little pressure. Do this 20 times for optimum effect.

Exercise 5

The face you need to pull is more abstract than an Alexander Calder sculpture… it releases tension though, so who cares? The requirement is that you open wide, stick your tongue out-stretched as if you are showing your tonsils (or lack thereof, like me) to the world. 5 times will do. Inhale through nose, make fists and squeeze muscles on the exhale. So hot.

Exercise 6

And finally… the one that looks like the face I do when my partner makes exceptionally lame jokes about me doing these facial exercises. When I have the face of a gazelle he will be laughing on he other side of his sagging mug… ” ‘All I’m saying” With the face in this pursed position make an “Mmmmm” sound as you exhale. Repeat and relax…
